Driving down Metairie Road toward the railroad tracks, one might take a left turn onto Pink Street and stop for a delicious meal at Delerno’s Restaurant (619 Pink Street) which specialized in crawfish dishes long before most other area restaurants served them. A sign (near the tree in this 1937  photo) points the way to Delerno’s,  The photograph also includes the Metairie Market, a bakery, and Metairie Hardware.
