The first Mr. Lake message board was established in June of 2003. The New Orleans Nostalgia forum was soon added, followed by the Food Forum. The board has evolved to include forums for the discussion of a wide variety of topics and interests.

The forums attract an average of 225 unique visitors each day who view approximately 2500 pages per day.
